War reporters for Alexander Kots and Dmitry Steshin visited Gorlovka the next day after massed air raid, in the result of which about 30 people were killed and many got serious injuries. Below you can find the transcript abstracts of the accounts by the locals.

Interview with a local Vasiliy Gilev in a residential area of Gorlovka after shelling

Vasiliy Gilev: It happened on Friday, at 19:55 (MSK) an explosion. A shell detonated there, in the front garden. It has been already covered. The windows blown out, the boiler destroyed, rooms are destroyed too. It's a miracle, that my wife and I survived due to being in a bedroom by chance. As a former soldier, I assume it was a mine.

Reporter: So it was bombardment, right?

Vasiliy Gilev: Yes, bombardment. There was plenty of splinters. Yesterday we were under shelling during the whole day, until late evening. I didn't go out, but I could hear that it was heavy shelling.

Reporter: Is it lull today?

Vasiliy Gilev: Yes, today it's quiet. Still quiet.

Interview with a resident of Gorlovka Eduard in a hospital

Eduard: I was doing sports running along in my micro-district and at about 20:30 got under the shelling, for the first time. A shell detonated in about 4 meters, I was cast away by the blast wave. I examined myself: seemed not injured. I ran to seek shelter in the arch of nine-storey dwelling and about in 2 minutes another shell detonated in the yard of that dwelling. A shell splinter broke my leg in two sites. I called up medical emergency service: the guys came the Militia with ambulance and took me here.

Interview with a local medic Elena Sergeeva

Reporter: What happened and when?

Elena: It happened yesterday at 18:00 (MSK), near Universam. I was walking with a young man when they started shelling. The shells were landing quite near. We decided to take shelter in a dwelling foyer. We entered it, I was talking with my mother on mobile phone, and a shell splinter hit my phone and I got a finger bone torn off. The young man got both legs holed through. But for my mobile phone, the splinter would have reached my head. It was like that in summer, then it was a lull in autumn... and now... It was likely even worse yesterday than in summer. So many victims. The shelling started at 8 o'clock (MSK) and ended only by night. They didn't shell at least the centre before - only suburbs. I live in Bessarabka district, uptown. There are fightings every day.

Reporter: Now they fire at the centre, do they?

Elena: Yes, they have started heavy firing at the centre. It wasn't so heavy before.

Interview with a Russian woman, who came to Gorlovka to visit her grandson studying there

Woman: We have come now to see that. We are shocked! What are they doing, scums! What do they do? Where do they shell? For all that, Ukrainian mass media report: "Militiamen fire at themselves". How could one do that? How? My grandson studies here, and... Well, fire kill him! I am Russian, I am stricken! I've come here, and I am stricken! May he peg out! Curse him! Putin sent him an official letter on Thursday: "Stop fire! Stop it!" And this is how he stopped it. Five aerial bombs landed! Is it normal? I can't tell you! Curse them all: Yatseniuk, Tyagnybok, Klichko and Poroshenko! All their families: children, relatives, nearest and dearest. May they hole up in the basements! How he the President claimed so: "Your children will hole up in the basements." No, louse, yours will hole up!

Interview with a local resident Elena

Reporter: So you were just walking along the street...

Elena: No, I just went out from my house when they started to bark or how they say, to shell. We ran to the basement my son and mother got there, and I didn't.

Reporter: Is your foot injured?

Elena: Yes, it's splintered. Shall I remove a bandage to show you? I wouldn't better do that. All my fingers are fixed with K-wires. The doctor tries to cure the foot, but you know the whole heel is splintered in small pieces. I cannot feel it. Where do I go from here? I still have to bring up my son. It is good at least that treatment in hospitals is now for free.

Interview with a local retiree Natalya

Natalya: I was lying on my bed. It barked once, and I started to put my clothes on: I pulled on my sports trousers over the tights... My bag with all the documents was there it was always ready but I wasn't going to take it with me anyway. I just moved to take my mobile phone from a cupboard with this link hand, then I moved to the other side to take something else, and I realised that I cannot operate with my arm - it was dangling broken and bleeding. I ran out to take a towel. Good there was my neighbour - he was running out too. I asked him to take off his belt and to pull it tightly on my arm... I showed him, where to pull, and he did it well. He helped me out and brought my bag too. I ran out in my slippers, with nothing. I have no clothes: they gave me a T-shirt, my all clothes was in blood I don't even have clothes to put on.

Roads were inundated in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast, causing sinkholes to open up that swallowed cars.

Emergency services scrambled to rescue children and adults from rising floodwaters as the SES received almost 400 calls for help, including pleas to sandbag homes and patch leaking roofs already damaged by previous hail storms.

Extreme wet weather causing flooding in the Currumbin valley area . A youth rides his body board in a roadside gutter then decides to take on the rapids of the Currumbin Creek.

The Gold Coast was one of the hardest-hit areas, with drivers trapped in submerged cars and a teenage boy stuck in floodwaters dramatically rescued. He was found clinging to a railing on a flooded causeway in the Currumbin Valley.

Another team plucked a man to safety from the roof of his car at Bonogin.

Falls of more than 200mm caused flash flooding across the Glitter Strip, including crashes, landslides and a 3m sinkhole on one of the Coast's busiest roads.

A tram and a car collided in Surfers Paradise amid the wild weather, leaving a female motorist with suspected head injuries.

Ten cars were damaged or left with flat tyres after driving into the sinkhole on Tamborine-Oxenford Rd.

Flash flooding forced road closures from Helensvale in the north to Tallebudgera in the south and Mudgeeraba in the west.

Flights were cancelled or diverted as torrential rain bucketed down.

By late yesterday, the State Emergency Service had responded to 380 calls for help.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Superintendent Stephen Smith told his team were at a "heightened level of preparedness" to deal with more calls overnight.

"We've got extra swift-water rescue and specialist crews positioned around the place to enable an appropriate level of response capability," Supt Smith said. "All our crews are out there at the moment doing some long hours."

The rain will begin to ease mid morning today after heavy falls overnight were expected to drench the Gold Coast with over 300mm by 9am. Another 200mm was expected to fall on the Sunshine Coast and 150mm in Brisbane.

On the Sunshine Coast yesterday, the hinterland copped 170mm in just seven hours.

BOM senior forecaster Vikash Prasad said a "slow-moving trough" from the north was causing the big wet.

Protesters calling for Justice for John Geer recently demonstrated outside the police department in the Massey building on Thursday in Fairfax, Virginia... Most of the protesters did not know Geer, but they said it was important for everyday citizens to take a stand against injustice and demand police accountability now!

"I feel like I could be next," Keith Harmon of Mount Vernon said. He was spotted holding a sign reading: "Q: Who investigates Fairfax Police? A: Themselves. FBI. No one."

Harmon explained that his neighbor "could well call the police, say I'm a madman with a gun, and the cops may show up and kill me."

That's about right...

It's been nearly 17 months since John Geer bleed to death after being shot in his doorway by a Fairfax County Police Officer on August 29, 2013. Geer had been standing, unarmed, with his hands his head on the doorframe, speaking with police officers for 50 minutes when one of them inexplicably fired one shot into his chest. When the SWAT team pushed into his house with an MRAP an hour later, John Geer was lying behind the door, dead.

It's important to note that Geer committed no crime. The entire incident started when Geer's partner, Maura Harrington, called the police to report that John was throwing her belongings out of the house. He'd become distraught after learning she was moving out and ending their relationship after 24 years. Harrington, one of Geer's two teenage daughters, his father, and his best friend were all on site, watching as the unbelievable tragedy unfolded before them. They have watched and waited for nearly 17 months as the Fairfax County Police Department and the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors have stonewalled all attempts to get even basic information regarding what happened that day.

Now they are finally closer to getting some answers. On Monday, December 22nd, the Fairfax County judge presiding over the civil lawsuit filed by John Geer's family, has given the Fairfax County Police Department 30 days to release"Documents related to the shooting of John Geer," "Videos and other recordings of statements" and "Documents reflecting the identity and location of all FCPD officers at the incident."

Pressure has also been mounting from the community, with the formation of the Justice for John Geer Facebook group and a planned protest on January 8th at police headquarters and county courthouse. The group was formed by members of Northern Virginia Cop Block, an offshoot of Nathan Cox's Virginia Cop Block. Mike Curtis, founder of Northern Virginia Cop Block and spokesperson for Justice for John Geer, called for more action during a televised interview on Monday night: "While the judge's order is a step in the right direction, a court order does not equate to transparency and while we may soon know the name of the officer who shot this unarmed and law abiding father of two, we all know how unlikely justice is to come from agents of the state investigating themselves. We need to demand civilian oversight and independent investigators at the least."

A one-month-old Pennsylvania baby is hospitalized after she was attacked by three family pet ferrets and sustained severe facial injuries.

According to WPVI, sources have said that the incident took place on Thursday in the child's Darby Borough home.

The mother of the infant allegedly placed the child in her car seat downstairs and then went to the upstairs of the home. During that time, the three pet ferrets got out of their cage, attacked the baby girl and chewed her face.

The parents' heard the child's cries and found the ferrets attacking her. The baby was transported to a Children's hospital. She lost 25 percent of her face in the attack.

Her four siblings have been removed from the home and are now in the custody of child services.

This is not the first time a ferret attacking and severely injuring an infant has made the news. As KCTV noted, a four-month-old Missouri infant lost seven fingers when a pet ferret attacked him in 2011.

The parents of that baby told authorities that they were asleep when the attack happened and once the father found out what the animal had done, he killed it. Prosecutors, however, said that no one was at the home with the child at the time of the attack.

Each parent received probation in that case and the child is living with a relative.

US payment system PayPal has stopped providing services to clients on the territory of the Crimean Peninsula, the PayPal press service said on Friday.

"Unfortunately, currently we are not able to provide our services to the clients in Crimea. We apologize for any related inconveniences," a spokesperson for the payment system told TASS.

The PayPal payment system, allowing payments and money transfers to be made through the Internet, is a wholly owned subsidiary of eBay, a US multinational corporation and e-commerce company.

PayPal, founded in 1998 and headquartered in the US state of California, has more than 100 million active users in over 190 countries and works with 25 foreign currencies.

Last year, international payment systems Visa and MasterCard also announced that they stopped providing services for payment transactions for clients in Crimea amid the US sanctions against Russia.

This morning January 22nd at 8:30 local time in Donetsk the Ukrainian army fired what appear to be 82mm shells at buses and trolleys near the center of the city.

The targets were located within roughly a 25 meter radius of each other. The OSCE is investigating.

The terrorist strike on the bus shown above claimed the lives of 13-15 people including children. There are reported to be over 20 other critically injured, many with blast amputations. The driver of a car next to the blast burnt to death. The blast was large enough to blowout 2nd story windows in an apartment across from it and stopped the clock at 8:30.

Donetsk Defense Minister Vladimir Kononov gave a statement that a group of terrorists launching attacks on civilians have been caught and are Ukrainian military operatives. Small teams of Ukrainian army/terrorists have been perpetrating random drive by shootings with automatics in Donetsk since the Ukrainian army reignited the hot war eleven days ago.

In another development on Slavakaya St. which is located on the outskirts of Donetsk, a local resident noticed an improvised trip mine. The DNR(Donetsk Peoples Republic) army responded by sending an explosives team to defuse it. The mine was set up on a pathway to a children's playground.

In the town of Stahanovo today a Grad and Hurricane rocket and missile attack left three children's kindergartens entirely destroyed this morning. Three more pre-school facilities were targeted and partially destroyed. So far casualty reports are 8 civilians dead including at least 2 children and over 20 wounded. The attacks on civilians are escalating.

Sources are reporting that the attack this morning is only the beginning of a much larger one. Ukraine's Donbas Battalion is moving military equipment into Artemovsk flying DNR flags and wearing DNR uniforms. Artemovsk is in the control of the Ukrainian army.

The latest attacks on civilian targets in Donetsk show a blatant pattern of criminal murder that has come to define the Ukrainian Government in Kiev throughout the war. Like the other bus attack near Volonovaha where the Ukrainian army fired Grad rockets at one of their own checkpoints this attack shows the open criminality of the Poroshenko regime.

In developed countries governments that give their army units orders to murder other army units and their own civilians are criminals. Every official that could have influence and stop the crimes are held accountable. Most developed countries also adhere to laws of war that makes the purposeful targeting of civilians an international crime. Leaders of countries that order crimes of this magnitude are prosecuted either internally or in an international forum like the War Crimes Tribunal in Nuremburg. After WW2, a guilty verdict meant the responsible leaders were hung.

Why is this openly Nazi government instead rewarded?

Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, U.S. Army, is head of Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) for NATO was in Kiev yesterday and awarded US Army Europe medallions for excellence to the Ukrainian army's wounded. General Hodges shook one Ukrainian soldiers hand and stated he was "proud of his service to his country."

At Debalsevo and the Donetsk airport where these wounded soldiers are coming from the Ukrainian army has been targeting civilians for several months. The US Army head of LANDCOM takes pride in this? As an American I have never felt this much shame for my country. Just the sight of this man who is in the position of knowing exactly who he is dealing with shames the memory of my own grandfather and uncle who fought in WW2 against ultra-nationalism.

My grandfather and uncle would not thank openly nazi governments for receiving him on "such short notice." They were proud to be American.

Sickness is a great business, and the pharmaceutical industry knows this very well. They would have you to believe they are in the health business, but they are not. They are in the business of sickness. And, judging from a business perspective, it is brilliant, but at the same time, corrupt.

They are not isolated in the business of sickness; many other associates are involved: the medical system, drug companies with their research departments, and government to supervise and create the sort of treadmill the populous run on: symptomatic treatment, while avoiding cures and prosecuting those who would dare try.

As a society, we are led to believe that everything is not so bad, and we rationalize this theory by comparing ourselves to those who are worse off. It is an outright lie. We are standing on a precipice of no return, and the outcome will affect everyone on the planet. Things just could not be worse.

View the following statistics. Does this not seem so bad?

Chronic Pain: According to the CDC, 1 in 3 Americans are in chronic pain with arthritis (pain lasting 3 months or more), and in Canada that number is almost 1 in 5.

Mental Illness: In America, 1 in 5 suffers from mental illness. In Canada--including the adolescents--the rate is 1 in 6. A new case of Alzheimer's is discovered every 68 seconds in the USA, and by 2050 that is estimated to be double: one new case every 33 seconds.

Diabetes: Diabetes affects 9.3% of the US population (detected) and a much greater number yet undetected. If current trends continue, 1 in 3 will have diabetes by 2050.

Autism: Today, autism affects 1 in 68 children, and according to Dr. Stephanie Seneff, PhD, it will soon be 1 out of 2. Half of the children born will have autism within 15 years. Dr. Seneff has researched biology and technology, and published over 170 scholarly peer-reviewed articles.

Cancer: From birth to death, 1 in 2 will die of cancer. Chemotherapy treatment uses 5 year survival statistics. If they were to use 10 year statistics, only 2.1% would have survived; 97.9% would not.

Vaccinations: According to the EPA, the average child can tolerate 0.3 micrograms of mercury. A 2 month old infant receiving all 4 scheduled vaccinations (DtaP, Polio, Hib, and Hepatitis B) will have a mercury level of 62.5 micrograms--125 times higher than the EPA "safe level."

Obesity: According to the CBC, nearly half the world's adults will be overweight or obese by 2030, should present trends continue.

Still convinced things aren't so bad? Let's test this theory: Prescription drugs versus natural medicine.

Drugs are not taxable, but vitamins are.

Health care is covered by the state medical system in Canada and through Obamacare in the US. Medical visits are included in healthcare without limits; however, other healing arts are either excluded from the plan or extremely limited.

State hospitals offer first aid to treat accidents, drug overdose and symptom control. Naturopathic hospitals treat the core illness, and treatments are either not covered or extremely limited in group plan coverage.

Drugs that kill remain on the market with added warnings, whereas natural medicine is unapproved if claims of healing are mentioned or assumed.

Pharmaceutical Drugs always come with side effects, while plant based medicine is no longer classified as food in Canada. Instead, it is in a sub-class of drugs, without the luxury of drug style claims or advertising.

Medical healers are protected by the state, whereas natural healers are often raided at gun point or even imprisoned.

In Canada, only two provinces offer prescribing rights to naturopathic doctors; the other provinces do not. The state oversees it all, even though our (Canada) constitution states that the government doesn't have the legal authority, except for cases of fraud or adulteration.

Disease travels in packs, just like wolves, and so does the treatment. The core issue is never treated, only the symptoms. Symptoms multiply. You may not see them, but they are there nonetheless, and manifest as a result of the drug treatment.

In reality, it is a downhill slide to extinction. The "miasma" is never addressed; instead, it is under government-approved medical care. The side effects from multiple drugs compound the condition: inflammation leading to chronic pain; anxiety and stress leading to depression, which leads to a nervous breakdown and diabetes, which culminates in Alzheimer's disease--now often referred to as Type 3 diabetes. For many, the only "out" seems to be suicide.

As you can now see, the business of sickness works very well together, does it not? You can clearly apply the symptomatic pack mentality to prescription drugs, as well. As more symptoms appear, more drugs are administered, and it is not uncommon to be taking 10 to 15 different drugs that add more illness and suffering; the real kicker is that despite all the peripheral treatment, the core issue remains untreated.

Under the current medical system, once a chronic illness penetrates your life, you are potentially a dead person. On the rare exception that true healing is achieved, it is viewed as sort of a miracle, though it is only realized when it's too late. Those controlling the system know it's not working, but they continue to willfully turn a blind eye, hoping to be perceived as being uninformed.

It is greed without guilt or consciousness, power without character, business without ethics--and in a form without function or benefit. The patient becomes like a robot playing the part of a patient--when the patient steps out of line, he or she is shot with the drug cocktail of choice, which is meant to be just enough to keep them coping as the power of the system is restored. Poverty and illness are paralleled as the masters of disease; the rich continue gaining riches, while imprisoning the trusting souls.

This treadmill approach of the medical system needs to be stopped; our very lives depend on it. The people need to wake up. Civil obedience has placed us in this position, and it's time to protest and not capitulate. As a society, we must speak out in order to reach the critical mass and expose the lies so that only truth remains. In this truth, you will be set free from the bonds and chains that have you shackled.
