Trace Amounts: The Documentary the CDC doesn't want you to see

Mercury Toxicity: Has it caused one of the worst health crises in American history?

We found out that the Thimeresol would be toxic down to - not grams, not mg's, not mcgs, but nano grams - parts per billion - which was almost unbelievable. This was published in the , in the New York Academy Sciences and in the and it didn't make waves, there wasn't even a ripple - no one seemed to care." - Dr Frank P Engley PhD - Blue Ribbon Panel Member 1948 AMA meeting regarding Thimeresol's concerns

During the past two decades, the diagnosis of autism occurring in children has risen dramatically from 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 68 and our scientific community is closer to determining a cause. But one thing they automatically do is emphatically deny a possible link between autism cases and something found in our vaccines.

see trailer here: is a riveting new documentary being released worldwide on April, 1st 2015. It's the true story of Eric Gladen's painful journey through mercury poisoning that he believes resulted from a thimerosal-loaded tetanus shot. At the age of 29, he became diagnosed as an adult with autism-like symptoms. His experience spurred him on an urgent quest for the truth about the role of mercury poisoning in the Autism epidemic.

While the medical and scientific community - who follow direct orders from the CDC -pointblank refuses to admit that there is a link between mercury toxicity and autism -this film exposes some very incriminating evidence that they are actually aware of its ability trigger autism.

Many scientific studies have proven that mercury toxicity can cause the exact same symptoms as autism - so you can bet the CDC simply does want you to see this film. With billions of dollars at stake - and a reputation built on the public's trust - the CDC can't afford to have you find out what is happening.

The Film

Eric and the film's other director, Shiloh Levine, traveled around the USA interviewing scientists, reporters, doctors, and various experts about Thimeresol in our vaccines. Eric specifically wanted to know: was his thimeresol-loaded Tetanus vaccine the sole cause of his massive decline in health?

After receiving the vaccine back in 2004 Eric's physical and mental health quickly went into a terrible downward spiral; he realized he was incredibly sensitive to noise and to light, he hallucinated and had trouble sleeping. He also could not keep still, was shaking regularly and he became extremely anxious.

Eric had gone from being a healthy, fully functioning adult, to an adult with symptoms like that of autism. could this happen?

Could it be the exact same concern many parents also have? That the thimeresol in the vaccines was the main cause of their children's decline in health?

What Trace Amounts Exposes

This 94 minute film leaves you absolutely with the undeniable evidence behind the dangers of thimeresol and the deliberate cover-up of it's toxic effects which were discovered early on by many scientists.

Whilst I you to see it for yourself, I have highlighted some of the main issues it covers:

  • Thimeresol's dark history

  • Why it was removed from pet vaccines, but not removed from human vaccines

  • Eli Lilly's 'safety study' of thimeresol - 22 people with meningitis had injections of thimeresol; 22 died most within a day of receiving the injection; despite this, Eli Lilly concluded that thimeresol had a 'very low toxicity for humans'

  • Mercury is the second most toxic substance to humans, second to plutonium

  • EPA states that 2 ppb is the maximum safe level for drinking water; 200 ppb found in water (e.g. a lake or swimming pool) would be classified as hazardous waste; in most vaccines containing thimeresol there is an amount of

  • Despite CDC saying mercury has been removed from vaccines, thimeresol is still found in flu, meningitis andtetanus vaccines

  • Most vaccines for third-world countries still contain thimeresol

  • The synergistic toxicity with mercury- and aluminium-containing vaccines is exponentially more harmful to humans

  • Thimeresol was studied back in the 1940's for it's efficiency as an antibacterial preservative - it was proven to be poor neurotoxic - Eli Lilly were told of about this, but did nothing

  • Other studies showed that mice were killed when injected with vaccines containing thimeresol; Eli Lilly did nothing

  • Thimeresol does not need to be used in single vaccines, in the multi-dose shots

  • Dr. Andrew Wakefield in his Lancet study only ever at a link and suggested the use of single vaccines till further evidence was made conclusive; many studies from around the world have now replicated and proven his theory

  • The Homeland Security Act was secretly brought in to protect Eli Lilly and other vaccine companies from beingsued for any problems related to thimeresol or any other ingredients found in vaccinations

  • Autism can be successfully treated with chelation therapy, nutritional supplements, and dietary changes, often leading to the diagnosis eventually being "removed"

  • The concerning amounts of mercury found in our environment from coal plants

  • Energy saving lightbulbs are a mercury health hazard

"I regret that my coauthors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal . The omitted data suggested that African American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were at increased risk for autism. Decisions were made regarding which findings to report after the data were collected, and I believe that the final study protocol was not followed." - William Thompson PhD Co- Author of CDC studies carried out to 'prove' the link between vaccines and autism was unfounded.

The Experts Interviewed in Trace Amounts

  • Paul Offit, MD

  • Dan Burton - Retired Congressman

  • Dan Olmstead - Reporter

  • Andrew Cutler - PhD Scientist

  • Brian Hooker - Researcher & Bioengineer

  • Professor Boyd Haley

  • Sander Greenland - Professor of Epidemiology

  • Dr. Mark Geier - Physician and Researcher

  • David Kirby Investigative Journalist

  • Dr. Frank B Engley PhD Scientific Researcher

CDC Chief Admits That Vaccines Trigger Autism

"Now, we all know that vaccines can occasionally cause fevers in kids. So if a child was immunized, got a fever, had other complications from the vaccines. And if you're predisposed with the mitochondrial disorder, it can certainly set off some damage. Some of the symptoms can be symptoms that have characteristics of autism." - Julie Gerberding, present head of Merck's vaccine division speaking to Sanjay Gupta of CNN when she was still head of the CDC. This was regarding the Hannah Poling case where a court awarded her family damages concluding that her vaccines did cause her autism.

Are You Or Your Family Suffering From Mercury Toxicity?

A non-invasive oral swab test can be done in the privacy of your own home with the toxyscreen.com mercury and lead test. This painless test is taken from inside the mouth and behind the lower lip. It's so gentle it can be done while a child is sleeping -causing far less stress for you and your infant than that of a blood test. While Trace Amounts is mainly concerned with mercury poisoning, many heavy metals are causing unprecedented health problems in humans and, most concerningly, our children. Take a look at the full profile test that also screens for levels of cadmium and arsenic. Synergistic toxicity is a huge health problem.

What the BRICS plus Germany are really up to?

BRICs Leaders

© Reuters/Ueslei Marcelino

Winston Churchill once said, "I feel lonely without a war." He also badly missed the loss of empire. Churchill's successor - the 'Empire of Chaos' - now faces the same quandary. Some wars - as in Ukraine, by proxy - are not going so well.

And the loss of empire increasingly manifests itself in myriad moves by selected players aiming towards a multipolar world.

So no wonder US 'Think Tankland' is going bonkers, releasing wacky CIA-tinted "forecasts" where Russia is bound to disintegrate, and China is turning into a communist dictatorship. So much (imperial) wishful thinking, so little time to prolong hegemony.

The acronym that all these "forecasts" dare not reveal is BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa). BRICS is worse than the plague as far as the 'Masters of the Universe' that really control the current - rigged - world system are concerned. True, the BRICS are facing multiple problems. Brazil at the moment is totally paralyzed; a long, complex, self-defeating process, now coupled with intimations of regime change by local 'Empire of Chaos' minions. It will take time, but Brazil will rebound.

That leaves the "RIC" - Russia, India and China - in BRICS as the key drivers of change. For all their interlocking discrepancies, they all agree they don't need to challenge the hegemon directly while aiming for a new multipolar order.

The BRICS New Development Bank (NDB) - a key alternative to the IMF enabling developing nations to get rid of the US dollar as a reserve currency - will be operative by the end of this year. The NDB will finance infrastructure and sustainable development projects not only in the BRICS nations but other developing nations. Forget about the Western-controlled World Bank, whose capital and lending capacity are never increased by the so-called Western "powers." The NDB will be an open institution. BRICS nations will keep 55 percent of the voting power, and outside their domain no country will be allowed more than 7 percent of votes. But crucially, developing nations may also become partners and receive loans.

Damn those communists

A tripartite entente cordiale is also in the making. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in China next May - and 'Chindia' will certainly engage in a breakthrough concerning their bitter territorial disputes. As much as Delhi has a lot to benefit from China's massive capital investment and exports, Beijing wants to profit from India's vast market and technology savvy. In parallel, Beijing has already volunteered economic help to Russia - if Moscow asks for it - on top of their evolving strategic partnership.

The US "pivoting to Asia" - launched at the Pentagon - is all dressed up with no place to go. Bullying Southeast Asia, South Asia and, for that matter, East Asia as a whole into becoming mere 'Empire of Chaos' vassals - and on top of it confronting China - was always a non-starter. Not to mention believing in the fairy tale of a remilitarized Japan able to "contain" China.

Isolating the "communist dictatorship" won't fly. Just watch, for instance, the imminent high-speed rail link between Kunming, in Yunnan province, and Singapore, traversing a key chunk of a Southeast Asia which for Washington would never qualify to be more than a bunch of client states. The emerging 21st century Asia is all about interconnection; and the inexorable sun in this galaxy is China.

As China has embarked in an extremely complex tweaking of its economic development model, as I outlined here, China's monopoly of low-end manufacturing - its previous industrial base - is migrating across the developing world, especially around the Indian Ocean basin. Good news for the Global South - and that includes everyone from African nations such as Kenya and Tanzania to parts of Southeast Asia and Latin America.

Of course the 'Empire of Chaos', business-wise, won't be thrown out of Asia. But its days as an Asian hegemon, or a geopolitical Mob offering "protection", are over.

The Chinese remix of Go West, Young Man - in fact go everywhere - started as early as 1999. Of the top 10 biggest container ports in the world, no less than 7 are in China (the others are Singapore, Rotterdam, and Pusan in South Korea). As far as the 12th Chinese 5-year plan - whose last year is 2015 - is concerned, most of the goals of the seven technology areas China wanted to be in the leading positions have been achieved, and in some cases even superseded.

The Bank of China will increasingly let the yuan move more freely against the US dollar. It will be dumping a lot of US dollars every once in a while. The 20-year old US dollar peg will gradually fade. The biggest trading nation on the planet, and the second largest economy simply cannot be anchored to a single currency. And Beijing knows very well how a dollar peg magnifies any external shocks to the Chinese economy.

Sykes-Picot is us

A parallel process in Southwest Asia will also be developing; the dismantling of the nation-state in the Middle East - as in remixing the Sykes-Picot agreement of a hundred years ago. What a stark contrast to the return of the nation-state in Europe.

There have been rumblings that the remixed Sykes is Obama and the remixed Picot is Putin. Not really. It's the 'Empire of Chaos' that is actually acting as the new Sykes-Picot, directly and indirectly reconfiguring the "Greater Middle East." Former NATO capo Gen. Wesley Clark has recently "revealed" what everyone already knew; the ISIS/ISIL/Daesh fake Caliphate is financed by "close allies of the United States," as in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey and Israel. Compare that with Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon admitting that ISIS "does not represent a threat to Israeli interests." Daesh does the unraveling of Sykes-Picot for the US.

The 'Empire of Chaos' actively sought the disintegration of Iraq, Syria and especially Libya. And now, leading the House of Saud, "our" bastard in charge King Salman is none other than the former, choice jihad recruiter for Abdul Rasul Sayyaf, the Afghan Salafist who was the brains behind both Osama bin Laden and alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammad.

This is classic 'Empire of Chaos' in motion (exceptionalists don't do nation building, just nation splintering). And there will be plenty of nasty, nation-shattering sequels, from the Central Asian stans to Xinjiang in China, not to mention festering, Ukraine, a.k.a Nulandistan.

Parts of Af-Pak could well turn into a branch of ISIS/ISIL/Daesh right on the borders of Russia, India, China, and Iran. From an 'Empire of Chaos' perspective, this potential bloodbath in the "Eurasian Balkans" - to quote eminent Russophobe Dr. Zbig "Grand Chessboard" Brzezinski - is the famous "offer you can't refuse."

Russia and China, meanwhile, will keep betting on Eurasian integration; strengthening the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and their own internal coordination inside the BRICS; and using plenty of intel resources to go after The Caliph's goons.

And as much as the Obama administration may be desperate for a final nuclear deal with Iran, Russia and China got to Tehran first. China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi was in Tehran two weeks ago; stressing Iran is one of China's "foreign policy priorities" and of great "strategic importance." Sooner rather than later Iran will be a member of the SCO. China already does plenty of roaring trade with Iran, and so does Russia, selling weapons and building nuclear plants.

Berlin-Moscow-Beijing?

Chancellor Angela Merkel

© Reuters/Eric Vidal

Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel.

And then there's the German question.

Germany now exports 50 percent of its GDP. It used to be only 24 percent in 1990. For the past 10 years, half of German growth depended on exports. Translation: this is a giant economy that badly needs global markets to keep expanding. An ailing EU, by definition, does not fit the bill.

German exports are changing their recipient address. Only 40 percent - and going down - now goes to the EU; the real growth is in Asia. So Germany, in practice, is moving away from the eurozone. That does not entail Germany breaking up the euro; that would be interpreted as a nasty betrayal of the much-lauded "European project."

What the trade picture unveils is the reason for Germany's hardball with Greece: either you surrender, completely, or you leave the euro. What Germany wants is to keep a partnership with France and dominate Eastern Europe as an economic satellite, relying on Poland. So expect Greece, Spain, Portugal and Italy to face a German wall of intransigence. So much for European "integration," it works as long as Germany dictates all the rules.

The spanner in the works is that the double fiasco Greece + Ukraine has been exposing. Berlin as an extremely flawed European hegemon - and that's quite an understatement. Berlin suddenly woke up to the real, nightmarish possibility of a full blown, American-instigated war in Europe's eastern borderlands against Russia. No wonder Angela Merkel had to fly to Moscow in a hurry.

Moscow - diplomatically - was the winner. And Russia won again when Turkey - fed up with trying to join the EU and being constantly blocked by, who else, Germany and France - decided to pivot to Eurasia for good, ignoring NATO and amplifying relations with both Russia and China.

That happened in the framework of a major 'Pipelineistan' game-changer. After Moscow cleverly negotiated the realignment of South Stream towards Turk Stream, right up to the Greek border, Putin and Greek Prime Minister Tsipras also agreed to a pipeline extension from the Turkish border across Greece to southern Europe. So Gazprom will be firmly implanted not only in Turkey but also Greece, which in itself will become mightily strategic in European 'Pipelineistan'.

So Germany, sooner or later, must answer a categorical imperative - how to keep running massive trade surpluses while dumping their euro trade partners. The only possible answer is more trade with Russia, China and East Asia. It will take quite a while, and there will be many bumps on the road, but a Berlin-Moscow-Beijing trade/commercial axis - or the "RC" in BRICS meet Germany - is all but inevitable.

And no, you won't read that in any wacky US 'Think Tankland' "forecast."

Behind the label: How manufacturers are hiding how your food was made

What we eat is a much more intricate subject that it might first appear.

Behind the labels are many troubling issues... and GMOs are just the tip of the iceberg.

The carried this interest piece revealing how so much of our foods - even the most natural in appearance - are engineered, manufactured and packaged with invisible processing 'ingredients' derived from sophisticated lab processes.

Now, as the food manufacturing industry is keeping up with consumer demand, scary sounding and artificial looking ingredients are increasingly fading from food packages. But as the makes clear in this expose from a food ingredients exposition, it is not always because the quality or ingredients improved, but instead because the industry has embarked upon a "clean label" initiative to derive substitutes that fly under the radar of current regulations or - like 'extract of rosemary' - sound benign compared with previous industry solutions like butylhydroxyanisole (BHA), which has been classified as a 'reasonably anticipated human carcinogen,' despite assurances by many that it is safe in small doses.

Here are just a few segments of Joanna Blythman's piece, Inside the food industry: the surprising truth about what you eat, well worth a full read for its peak inside your grocery store, food cabinet and assortment of convenience foods:

Anything that comes in a box, tin, bag, carton or bottle has to bear a label listing its contents, and many of us have become experts at reading these labels. But many of the additives and ingredients that once jumped out as fake and unfathomable have quietly disappeared. Does this mean that their contents have improved? In some cases, yes, but there is an alternative explanation. Over the past few years, the food industry has embarked on an operation it dubs "clean label", with the goal of removing the most glaring industrial ingredients and additives, replacing them with substitutes that sound altogether more benign. Some companies have reformulated their products in a genuine, wholehearted way, replacing ingredients with substitutes that are less problematic. Others, unconvinced that they can pass the cost on to retailers and consumers, have turned to a novel range of cheaper substances that allow them to present a scrubbed and rosy face to the public.

[...]

On a bright, cold day in late November 2013, I found myself in the dark, eerie, indoor expanses of Frankfurt's Blade Runner-like Festhalle Messe. I was there undercover, to attend an annual trade show called Food Ingredients. This three-day exhibition hosts the world's most important gathering of ingredients suppliers, distributors and buyers. In 2011, when it was held in Paris, more than 23,000 visitors attended from 154 countries, collectively representing a buying power of €4bn (£2.97bn). Think of it as the food manufacturers' equivalent of an arms fair. It is not open to the public. Anyone who tries to register has to show that they work in food manufacturing; I used a fake ID.

As Blythman points out, this is not just an ingredients trade show for some; the buying power of those in attendance is major. The many ingredient shortcuts and tricks noted in the full article are used by most, and it is very much a case of .

Even basic, natural fruit isn't necessarily what it seems:Tired after hours of walking round the fair, and, uncharacteristically, not feeling hungry, I sought refuge at a stand displaying cut-up fruits and vegetables; it felt good to see something natural, something instantly recognizable as food. But why did the fruit have dates, several weeks past, beside them? A salesman for Agricoat told me that they had been dipped in one of its solutions, NatureSeal, which, because it contains citric acid along with other unnamed ingredients, adds 21 days to their shelf life. Treated in this way, carrots don't develop that telltale white that makes them look old, cut apples don't turn brown, pears don't become translucent, melons don't ooze and kiwis don't collapse into a jellied mush; a dip in NatureSeal leaves salads "appearing fresh and natural".

For the salesman, this preparation was a technical triumph, a boon to caterers who would otherwise waste unsold food. There was a further benefit: NatureSeal is classed as a processing aid, not an ingredient, so there's no need to declare it on the label, no obligation to tell consumers that their "fresh" fruit salad is weeks old.

So, the average consumer has no way of even knowing they are eating an extra processed food ingredient, as it is not even put on the label!

Somehow, I couldn't share the salesman's enthusiasm. Had I eaten "fresh" fruit salads treated in this way? Maybe I had bought a tub on a station platform or at a hotel buffet breakfast? It dawned on me that, while I never knowingly eat food with ingredients I don't recognise, I had probably consumed many of the "wonder products" on show here. Over recent years, they have been introduced slowly and artfully into foods that many of us eat every day - in canteens, cafeterias, pubs, hotels, restaurants and takeaways.

Not only are busy moms and convenience shoppers kept in the dark about what is the foods that go into their bodies - sold to them with hundreds of positively-worded market slogans - but much of the information about the real ingredients is also kept secret under corporate trade practices.

Even investigative journalists have a difficult time finding out the truth about what's in the food:

When you try to dig deeper, you hit a wall of secrecy. For at least the past decade, the big manufacturing companies have kept a low profile, hiding behind the creed of commercial confidentiality, claiming they can't reveal their recipes because of competition. Instead, they leave it to retailers to field any searching questions from journalists or consumers. In turn, retailers drown you in superfluous, mainly irrelevant material.

The interpretation of the FDA means even less transparency for American consumers than those in Europe and the UK. Trace amounts and amounts less than 1% are assumed to be of little concern for their potentially toxic nature, despite the precautionary principle and despite the effect of cumulative, lifelong consumption of what has become the most unhealthy generation in history.

Despite the best efforts of many people to eat wholesome and healthy foods, the labels are downright deceptive. Industry pros have, after years of controversy for ingredients like MSG, learned to hide the technology employed in creating and preserving the foods, behind vague and tricky wording that they know full well most will gloss over, if they read it at all:

We all eat prepared foods made using state-of-the-art technology, mostly unwittingly, either because the ingredients don't have to be listed on the label, or because weasel words such as "flour" and "protein", peppered with liberal use of the adjective "natural", disguise their production method. And we don't know what this novel diet might be doing to us.

Food manufacturers combine ingredients that do not occur in natural food, notably the trilogy of sugar, processed fat and salt, in their most quickly digested, highly refined, nutrient-depleted forms. The official line - that the chemicals involved pose no risk to human health when ingested in small quantities - is scarcely reassuring. Safe limits for consumption of these agents are based on statistical assumptions, often provided by companies who make the additives.

About the author

Irish priest proves Jesus never existed: Church bans him from teaching and speaking to media

Brodie is apparently the first known active - and certainly the most high-profile - priest to have claimed that Jesus did not exist. The final judgement of the Dominican Order on the matter was

In September 2012, Fr Thomas L. Brodie, O.P., of the Irish Province, published . In this 'Memoir of a Discovery', the author, already well-respected for his commentaries on the Gospel of John and for his study, , stated categorically that his studies proved that Jesus did not exist as a historical person. He had expected that reviewers or commentators would understand from his earlier works that this was the position he had held since the 1970s. But there had been no such recognition; and the time, he believed, had come to state his views bluntly.

Because this claim was so much at odds with Christian tradition, in November 2012, the Prior Provincial of Ireland, Fr Gregory Carroll, O.P., instructed that, while the controversy about the book was being addressed, Tom Brodie must withdraw from all ministry and from any teaching or writing, or contacting the media. Co-incidentally, at about the same time Tom Brodie resigned from being moderator and director of the Dominican Biblical Institute Limerick.

brodie jesus

Fr. Brodie's book

Under Dominican Order procedures, its Irish Province set up a committee of five experts from within the Province to examine the work under dispute.

After providing Tom Brodie with written copies of their assessments of , and having received a written response from him, the committee spent a morning discussing the work with him. Following on these deliberations, the committee advised that they judged to be "" (a phrase from the Order's own legislation). Accepting this assessment, the Provincial continued the sanctions on Tom Brodie - that he withdraw fully from ministry and from all forms of teaching, writing, or making public statements.

On 17 May 2013, at the request of Tom Brodie, Fr Gregory Carroll, Prior Provincial, referred the matter to the Master of the Order, its worldwide head.

On 29 August 2013, the Master, Fr Bruno Cadoré, appointed a committee to examine the book and report to him. This committee, made up of three professors from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, had the Master's Assistant for the Intellectual Life, Fr Michael Mascari, as non-voting chairman. The members of this committee provided the author with written assessments of , and received from him a written response.

On 20 February 2014, the committee had a two-hour meeting in Fribourg with Tom Brodie to discuss their reports and his response. Following this meeting the committee formally advised the Master that the publication was "", and recommended that the sanctions imposed on Thomas Brodie by the Province of Ireland were appropriate.

In a letter dated 3 March 2014, Fr Bruno Cadoré concurred with the judgement of the committee and instructed that the sanctions already in place be maintained.

Despite the restrictions placed on him, Tom Brodie remains a brother of the Irish Province, and the Province continues to care for him and provide for him. From the point of view of the Order, the matter is closed.

And so, at the age of 71 years, Thomas L. Brodie appears to have been condemned to live out the rest of his life in silence in exchange for retirement care.

It's an amazing and horrible thing to happen to someone seeking Truth, but it's also not surprising that in response to his in-depth scholarly research showing evidence for a lack of historicity of Jesus, the Dominican hierarchy's counter argument is to call his evidence "imprudent and dangerous".

While laconic in the extreme, maybe the Dominican leadership is being as honest as it can be with this response. After all, it isn't very prudent, , to have one of their priests point out that Jesus did not exist. It's also dangerous, , for that truth to be revealed to the world.

They couldn't refute Brodie's evidence - which tears down the entire edifice of their belief system - so they shut him up.

SOTT FOCUS: Traumatizing an entire generation - The voice and suffering of children in the war on Donbass

War and children

© Dni.ru

While the children dream of peace, war is what they experience and suffer under.

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote an article about some courageous women who dared to speak up against the fascism in Ukraine. There is, however, another group of people there who cannot speak up for themselves, and who are even less equipped to deal with life in a war zone: the children.

The relatively peaceful world that the children of East Ukraine knew before the 'Maidan' is long gone. Living under constant bombardment, in bomb-shelters, sometimes without one or both parents and witnessing horrific scenes is scarring these children in a way that, even with proper attention and care, will take a long time to heal. My own mother-in-law was 6 years of age when the German army quickly overran Paris in WWII. Although the attack was short, the trauma of the bombings, sirens and bomb-shelters left her scarred for life with chronic nervousness and anxiety attacks. Now think of the children in Donbass and the ongoing terror campaign that the Kiev junta is waging there - for close to a year now, and with little respite in view.

President Poroshenko is fully aware that he is making the children in Donbass suffer. This was made very clear in a hate-filled speech he gave in the Rada (Ukraine's parliament) last year:

...we [in Ukraine] will have work - they [in the Donbass] won't. We will have pensions - they won't. We will care for our children and pensioners - they won't. Our children will go to school, to kindergartens - their children will sit in cellars. They don't know how to organize or do anything. This, ultimately, is how we will win this war.

A recent report by the United Nations says the continuous fighting and shelling in eastern Ukraine has affected the lives of 1.7 million children, many of whom have been forced to live underground:

[embedded content]

According to this video, UNICEF says it will need an extra $32 million to meet children's basic needs - their material needs, which does not take into account psychological needs. Again there is plenty of money for weapons of war, but not for the victims of war:

[embedded content]

The adult's voice and perspective is one thing, but how does a child make sense of the madness they are experiencing? The following videos give the children a voice:

[embedded content]

Here are some other children, a little older:

[embedded content]

When children are exposed to such violent events it almost invariably leads to trauma and psychological problems. The following video is a mix of interviews with children and adults, including a psychologist who explains what she is noticing and doing with the problems she encounters:

[embedded content]

Some children end up physically debilitated for life, like the following video shows.

[embedded content]

This tragedy thundered into Russia a month and a half ago. 9 years old Vanya was delivered to the hospital in January. During the Donetsk bombardment, one of the shells exploded in the courtyard of Vanya's apartment building. The boy was playing on the porch with his younger brother, who died. Vanya lost his legs, right arm and vision. Now he is being treated in the Russian capital, Moscow.

Many Russian social networks have been created to collect money, toys and books for the injured children. Their parents are allowed to live in the chambers. Doctors believe that parents' care and affection will become the best for further healing.

Doctors - the best experts - have done everything at their disposal to help Vanya and other kids lead an active life. Hopes are rising every single day: Vanya began to smile, his appetite returned.

Children are the most vulnerable victims of war. Although this article has only focused on Eastern Ukraine, the same is true for all the countries that have been subject to wars. Most happen to be victims of Western aggression (under the guise of 'bringing freedom and democracy', etc.), such as during the 13 years of war in Afghanistan (population 31 million), 11 years of war in Iraq (pop. 36 million), 4 years of war and mayhem in Libya (pop. 6 million), 4 years in Syria (pop. 18 million). To this list, which is in no way complete, should also be added the Palestinian people, who have been subject to repeated war and terror for several generations.

The plight of the children in all the above cases has not been deemed worthy of Western media attention. The only time the Western media is interested in the plight of children in these countries is when Western audiences' sympathies are needed in order to sell them another war. Two examples come to mind: the Saddam Hussein incubator baby story and the Houla massacre in Syria, both of which turned out to be completely contrived (non-existent in the first case, a false-flag in the second) events designed to 'channel emotional impact' to raise popular passion for war.

What kind of leaders and journalists do we have that they care so little bout children, or human life in general? This is the question that people in the 'free West' ought to ask themselves. The answer to that question will help to redirect the appropriate outrage where it is really needed i.e. not at the scapegoats named by the warmongering elites, be they Greeks or Muslims or Jews or Slavs or Russians. Only by understanding the nature of this disease will we able to cure the illness that is ravaging mankind. It is also the only way to truly help and protect the children of the past, present and future.

I work in the international transport sector in Europe. I've been reading SOTT since 2003 and first joined the editorial team in 2007 after realizing I had to do something about the deteriorating state of our world. Especially as I saw how our mainstream media has let us down. I'm particularly interested in 'following the money' to track the machinations of the deceptive ones in high places. I suppose you could say I've taken my chosen profession to a new level, and now with SOTT I'm "inspecting the flows" of people and money in more ways than one.

The failure of America's Pacific Century sends Asia fleeing towards China

United States Asia pivot

When former-US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced the US "pivot to Asia," she and the policy wonks who dreamed it up probably imagined it as a well choreographed geopolitical masterstroke. In reality, it was more like an elephant crashing through the jungle, sending all in its path fleeing for cover well ahead of its arrival.

The empty rhetoric accompanying its announcement never materialized. Reading between the lines, what the "pivot" actually meant, was the doubling down on attempts to subvert, corral and otherwise twist the arms of Southeast Asia, South Asia and East Asia into arraying themselves for Washington's convenience and gain, against the growing influence and power of Beijing.

American designs have unraveled everywhere from Malaysia to Thailand and the only steps of this pivot still in good form appear to be in Myanmar and the South China Sea where budding political subversion is growing in one and an escalating strategy of tension is growing in the other. Despite these "successes," the prospects of Myanmar resigning itself to a future with close and growing ties to Beijing are unrealistic.

Likewise, the notion of a remilitarized Japan somehow containing China is untenable and more so each passing day.

Those capitulating today to Washington's attempts to reorder Asia will only be setting their nations back in the years to come when ultimately the "pivot" fails, and all that is left is China and those nations that decided to move forward together with it on its way up.

US Attempts to Isolate China Left it More Connected Than Ever

Washington's attempt to convert Southeast Asia into a string of client states to encircle China with has instead resulted in deals to construct new railways connecting Singapore to the southern Chinese city of Kunming, the inclusion of Chinese forces at Thailand's annual "Cobra Gold" military exercises, the complete exposure of Washington's "democracy promoters" in Hong Kong and the removal from politics of two of Washington's long-standing political proxies, Thaksin Shinawatra in Thailand and Anwar Ibrahim in Malaysia.

The railway in particular is ironic. It was British and French colonial powers who had long ago mapped out pan-Asian railways to help link their colonial holdings together and help further facilitate the plundering and emptying out of Asia's resources. Now, many of these railways are being constructed, but to help further advance interests across Asia and in particular, to connect China rather than encircle and isolate it.

In addition to failing to isolate China via a string of client states in Southeast Asia, pressure put on Moscow by Washington in Europe has helped connect China better to its north. Billions in energy will soon be flowing over the Chinese-Russian border, as are other deals bringing the two emerging superpowers closer together.

Pivot Balanced Upon Threats That No Longer Exist

The fear of China growing beyond its current foreign policy of soft power driven by economics and the building of infrastructure, and into a regional or global hegemon, formed the basis of Washington's arm-twisting and fear mongering throughout the region.

Of course, such threats ring hollow when a regional hegemon already exists that menaces peace and stability. China's strategic and economic posture may be growing, but it could hardly afford to pursue the same strategy of "nation building," "regime change" and "democracy promotion" the US currently engages in. In fact, the US cannot afford to either, and the unsustainability of Washington's foreign policy is a lesson that has not been lost on Beijing's decision makers.

The unsustainable foreign policy Washington has been pursuing is most likely why Beijing has chosen a completely different tack. It is easier for Beijing to convince its neighbors to engage economically for mutual self-interests, than for Washington to convince Asian states to forsake business with China all while under threat of regime change if they don't.

While Asia will not completely shut out the United States, as a local balance of power is struck, the need to bend to Washington's will in exchange for "protection" is becoming increasingly unnecessary. If the United States wants to continue doing business in Asia, it will have to do so on equal terms as a business partner, rather than as a hegemon maintaining a regional protection racket.

Understanding this reality and formulating a more realistic and sustainable foreign policy would be the key to a real "pivot," not toward Asia, but away from antiquated notions of hegemony and toward a multi-polar world, that like it or not, is coming and that no amount of "nation building," "regime change" or "democracy promotion" will change.

Of course, the Asia that is emerging, integrating under various supranational entities and integrating with China as the center of gravity, could end up the biggest prize of all once completed and if foreign interests were able to co-opt that center. Then dreams of an Asian empire ruled from Washington or London would become a reality, with railways, shipping lanes, highways and regional currencies serving foreign interests in ways the British Empire could only have dreamed of.

Asia must therefore balance itself carefully between China's rising power, the West's enduring menace to their national sovereignty and the folly of supranational integration that has mired other parts of the world, particularly Europe in a socioeconomic and political quagmire. Asia's current resilience and economic growth is due precisely because of the firewalls of national sovereignty, national currencies and individual self-interest pursued in the context of mutual self-interest with neighbors. These strengths should be reinforced.
