SOTT FOCUS: OpenLetter to Europe's leaders: "F*ck the EU" was an insult, not a command!

Victoria Nuland

Dear leaders of Europe,

In a socio-political-economic-military bloc like the EU, consisting as it does of 28 countries and 24 official languages, communication can be a problem. Although most speak English or understand it to some degree, nuances of the language can perhaps be difficult to pick up. So I propose to clear up a particular nuance that has obviously been misunderstood by most of you.

On December 13th 2013, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, said to the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt the words "F*ck the EU". Now this was immediately interpreted by you all to be a coming from the US boss in Washington to "f*ck the EU". The problem is - and here good knowledge of the English language is useful - that Victoria Nuland was insulting you, dear leaders, and all Europeans. She was NOT commanding anyone to "f*ck the EU", but the fact that you appear to have run with her suggestion is evident for all with eyes to see. The devil's advocate in me would suggest that she most likely meant it both ways; that is, as an insult and as a command. BUT, at the very least, you should have been insulted and taken it as a command.

You may protest and say that you didn't take it as a command, in which case I will refer to a few examples that demonstrate how you have. In all fairness to Victoria Nuland, it didn't start with her command/insult, but the destruction of Europe has definitely gone ballistic since she provided you with renewed enthusiasm.

From the get-go, you supported the fascist coup that took place in Ukraine. You have continued to support the coup regime, both in words and deeds, despite their outright war ("punitive action", they call it) on their own people.

You have acknowledged elections to the Ukrainian parliament, despite gross irregularities, AND - at the same time - not recognised the vote of the people in Lugansk, Donetsk and Crimea, where practically no irregularities were reported by international observers.

You have turned a blind eye to the war crimes that the new government has committed in Donbass.

You had a chance in November 2013 to have Ukraine agree peacefully to be bound by the EU Association Agreement. Had you offered 5-10 billion Euros in help, you would most likely have gotten the agreement you sought, but you played hard-ball and the consequences have been staggering in terms of violence and the implosion of Ukraine as a whole.

You chose to follow the command to "f*ck the EU" by slapping sanctions on Russia. That was a very bad move, as anyone with two neurons firing could see, given that Russia is a huge and natural market for EU agricultural and industrial goods. Costs for that feckless and reckless maneuver are running into the multiple tens of billions of Euros, not to mention the follow-on problems of increased unemployment that lost exports generate.

You chose to block Russia from building the South Stream gas pipeline, again and again, until Russia realised where you were going and shut the project down. Now cheap gas from Russia is no longer available, and if you want it, you will have to build the pipeline at your own expense and within the confines of the Third Energy Package that you imposed on Gazprom the deal had been signed. The cost of higher gas prices (LNG is way more expensive) and the added energy security will have many consequences. One of which will be social unrest.

You have mismanaged the economy completely by letting casino capitalism rule supreme. Big banks have been bailed out of toxic debts, and the burden has been dumped on the shoulders of ordinary citizens through your "austerity measures". Unemployment is spiraling out of control, while the printing presses at the European Central Bank print funny money to paper over the deficits.

You have split the EU instead of holding it together. The national governments are all being told that it's either "our way, or the highway". This has especially been the case with Southern European countries versus Northern European countries, but now with South Stream via the Balkans gone, it's clear that a split is opening among Eastern European countries.

You have equally f*cked the credibility of the EU as a reliable trade and security partner whose agreements actually mean something and stand the test of time. The Mistral no-deal and the Third Energy package come to mind here. Other nations are taking notice and know that it's better to speak to the boss in Washington than waste time having coffee with you.

You have destroyed what reputation the EU had for upholding democratic principles in your voting against the UN resolution condemning the spread of Nazi ideology. You preferred to "remain neutral" so as not to offend the US, which finds Nazism very useful for managing its interests in Europe and Eurasia, thank you very much.

You have continued to fund so-called "moderate" rebels to wage war in Syria, rebels who invariably wage jihad under the ISIS flag after being trained, paid and given weapons. The presidents of Russia and Syria both warned you in the past about the repercussions and the inevitable 'blowback' from some of the ISIS fighters that came from the EU, and which you have, at the very least, indirectly, if not directly, encouraged to execute 'regime change' in Syria.

Radical Islam never found a place in Iraq under Saddam or in Libya under Gaddafi or in Syria under Assad. And yet you have been involved with destroying the two former countries and are actively seeking to destroy Syria. Are you completely incapable of learning from past mistakes? You've heard the expression 'look before you leap'? It is easy to topple a leader, but are you really prepared for what will happen in the power vacuum that you create?

By actively pursuing 'regime change' in several Middle Eastern and North African countries, you have created millions of refugees, and many of them are coming to Europe. This massive influx creates tensions, and, in case you haven't noticed, those tensions are being exploited by certain extremist elements that seek to replace you. So while you are all complaining about immigrants, be aware that you have only yourselves to blame: your badly thought-out geopolitical agendas destroyed the countries from which most of them hail.

I could go on. This list of ways in which you have f*cked the EU is not exhaustive. You get the point, although you might not agree with all or any of it, which is your prerogative.

For your mistake of taking Nuland's words as a command and not an insult, I leave you with the thought that karma...

Karma (Sanskrit: कर्म; Pali: kamma) means action, work or deed; it also refers to the principle of causality where intent and actions of an individual influence the future of that individual. Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering.

...is bound up in what you and the EU have coming. If you think the concept of karma is a silly superstition and irrelevant to modern Western civilization, then contemplate what happened to the Roman empire and all other empires that strayed from their 'Mandate of Heaven'.
